Portage County Roll Over Accident Causes Injuries

A car rolled over on Highway 34 just after 4:00 p.m. Sunday near the Town of Rudolph, causing two injuries. A 16-year-old driver was traveling southbound, with his 10-year-old brother in the passenger seat. Witnesses saw the vehicle roll several times after the driver tried to pass other cars on the highway.  Officials say neither the driver or passenger were wearing seatbelts. Portage County Sheriff’s officials say one person was airlifted to St. Joseph’s Marshfield, while the other was taken there by ambulance.

Accidents that are the fault of one family member and result in an injury to another family member riding as a passenger in a vehicle are common.  Many families don’t understand they have automobile insurance to cover the damages, including medical bills and pain, suffered by the injured passenger. In Wisconsin, the injured passenger can make a claim against the insurance company covering the driver, without making a claim or filing any type of lawsuit against the driver directly.  If you or a family member have been injured in an accident, call Bremer & Trollop Law Offices today for a free consultation.
