After a tragic accident like this, early investigation is critical in order to determine the cause of the crash and gauge the suffering of those involved as it relates to their potential personal injury claims. Make sure to involve a hands-on, experienced personal injury lawyer right away, so an independent investigation and crash reconstruction can begin while the accident scene is still in tact and while witnesses’ recollections are clear. A personal injury attorney can then handle the claim against the at-fault driver’s insurance company and work with available insurance to make sure bills are paid.
