Scholar of the Month

Olivia Hackworth, a senior at Wausau East Senior High School, has been selected as the May Scholar of the Month by Bremer & Trollop Law Offices S.C. Olivia was chosen because of her exceptional efforts within the classroom and community. While taking the most rigorous classes Wausau East Senior High has to offer, she has maintained a 4.0 GPA and participated in numerous clubs. She has helped develop the high school yearbook for the past three years and is a vital member of the Key Club, Spanish Club and Link Crew. As part of the Scholar of the Month program, Olivia will be awarded a scholarship from Bremer & Trollop Law Office at the close of the 2012-2013 academic year. To be eligible for this recognition, the Bremer & Trollop Scholar of the Month must be a senior selected by his or her instructors based on the quality of the work that has been completed in the core curricular areas. Olivia is the daughter of Craig and Sarah Hackworth.

Trevin Hofmann, a senior at Antigo Senior High School, has been selected as the April Scholar of the Month by Bremer & Trollop Law Offices S.C. Trevin is noted for his outstanding college-level work within the classroom — work that has earned him a place in the National Honor Society. He is also active within the community and in extracurricular school activities. As a member of the Physics Club, Trevin took first place in the Rube Goldberg competition at Antigo High School and finished third in the Rube Goldberg regional competition held in Milwaukee. Trevin is also a member of the DECA club. As part of the Scholar of the Month program, Trevin will receive a scholarship from Bremer & Trollop Law Offices, to be awarded at the close of the 2012-2013 academic year. Isaac Accola, a senior at Marshfield Senior High School, has been selected as the March Scholar of the Month by Bremer & Trollop Law Offices S.C. Isaac is noted for his peer leadership, his exceptional academic performance and his ability to “synthesize very difficult material and apply that content to real world problems to create solutions.” Isaac has also been a key team member on both the varsity football and basketball teams. Isaac is considering a major in a mathematics/science field. As part of the Scholar of the Month program, Isaac will receive a scholarship from Bremer & Trollop Law Offices, to be awarded at the close of the 2012-2013 academic year. Carly Krueger, a senior at Mosinee High School, has been selected as the February Scholar of the Month by Bremer & Trollop Law Offices S.C. Carly Krueger is noted as an exceptional student who consistently enrolls in the most challenging classes offered; but her teachers and peers state that what differentiates Carly from other students is her strong work ethic and enthusiastic attitude. Carly is an exceptional athlete who has played at the varsity level in basketball and softball for several years. As part of the Scholar of the Month program, Carly will receive a scholarship from Bremer & Trollop Law Offices, to be awarded at the close of the 2012-2013 academic year. Matt Anderson, a senior at Rhinelander High School, has been selected as the January Scholar of the Month by Bremer & Trollop Law Offices S.C. Matt is noted as a “scholar, athlete, competitor and leader.” He has participated on four different sports teams at Rhinelander High School and has anchored the Rhinelander High School Mock Trial team for three years. He is a member of the student council and a leader of the National Honor Society. As part of the Scholar of the Month program, Matt will receive a scholarship from Bremer & Trollop Law Offices, to be awarded at the close of the 2012-2013 academic year. Lucas Gajewski, a senior at D. C. Everest Senior High School, has been selected as the December Scholar of the Month by Bremer & Trollop Law Offices S.C. Lucas was selected for his academic accomplishments, his peer leadership and his outstanding efforts on behalf of those in need. Lucas has served as the class advisor for the past three years. As such, he played an active role in the Henryville Project — a project that raised funds for a town destroyed by a tornado. He is noted for producing popular audio-visual productions, and his leadership and direction in a variety of theatrical productions — including the production of The Children of Eden. He is the current President of DECA and was chosen to be the 2012 Homecoming King by the student body. As part of the Scholar of the Month program, Lucas will receive a scholarship from Bremer & Trollop Law Offices, to be awarded at the close of the 2012-2013 academic year. Nicole Hauser, a senior at Stevens Point Area Senior High School (SPASH), has been selected as the November Scholar of the Month by Bremer & Trollop Law Offices S.C. Nicole was chosen for her exceptional academic performance, as well as her outstanding efforts in band and SPASH sports. She is noted as a well-rounded individual and peer leader who is “career-oriented, hardworking and intelligent.” As part of the Scholar of the Month program, Nicole will receive a scholarship from Bremer & Trollop Law Offices, to be awarded at the close of the 2012-2013 academic year. Lucas Paulson, a senior at Lakeland Union High School, has been selected as the October Scholar of the Month by Bremer & Trollop Law Offices S.C. Lucas was selected as the October Scholar of the Month based on his exceptional academic performance, his peer leadership skills and his participation in a variety of community outreach programs. Lucas is the captain of both the Nordic Ski Team and Lakeland Union Soccer Team. He also serves as the current President of the National Honor Society and is the leader for the Model United Nations Club. He has led student delegations to Model United Nations conferences in both Washington D.C. and New York City. As part of the Scholar of the Month program, Lucas will receive a scholarship from Bremer & Trollop Law Offices, to be awarded at the close of the 2012-2013 academic year. Brett Strasser, a senior at Wausau West High School, has been selected as the September Scholar of the Month by Bremer & Trollop Law Offices S.C. Brett is noted for his leadership, poise and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Since 2009, Brett has been involved in DECA, a global non-profit organization that prepares high school students for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Brett is the current 2012-2013 President for Wisconsin DECA and as such is in charge of leading 10,000 DECA members throughout the state. As part of the Scholar of the Month program, Brett will receive a scholarship from Bremer & Trollop Law Offices, to be awarded at the close of the 2011-2012 academic year.
