DC Everest High Schoo's Scholar of the Month - Karina Jirik
Bremer & Trollop Law Offices congratulate Karina Jirik, a senior at D.C. Everest Area Senior High School, who was chosen as the Bremer & Trollop December Scholar of the Month.
William Heeren, a Chemistry teacher at D.C. Everest, notes, “From the start, in the classroom, Kari’s actions remind me of the incognito Wonder Woman. Like the DC Comics Amazonian Wonder Woman, Kari, although very powerful, would prefer to stay out of the limelight to work her magic. In the classroom, if you check out Kari’s Lexile or her test scores, they are out of this world. But unless you focused on Kari’s subtle but very loud clues to her brilliance, her specific in-depth extended questions and responses or her quiet but moving, participation in various groups (one quickly notices that Kari’s groups – be it for a school function such as a hallway decoration contest, a play, or an in-class assignment…always get their work completed, and that work is of superior quality) – you might be unaware of Kari’s super powers. Unless you are like me as I watch these shows, for I don’t know how these superheroes go undetected. Kari certainly has not.”
As a Scholar of the Month, Karina will be awarded a scholarship from Bremer & Trollop Law Offices at the close of the 2015-2016 academic year. To be eligible for this recognition, the Bremer & Trollop Scholar of the Month must be a senior and be selected by his or her instructors based on the quality of the work that has been completed in the core curricular areas.
Karina is the daughter of Scott and Kristin Jirik.
