Antigo Senior High School ‘s Scholar of the Month – Michelle Umland
Wausau, WI – April 24, 2017 – Bremer & Trollop Law Offices congratulate Michelle Umland, a senior at Antigo Senior High School, who was chosen as the Bremer & Trollop April Scholar of the Month.
According to Lila Gallenberg, English teacher at Antigo Senior High School, ”In class, Michelle displayed a positive attitude, leadership qualities, and an excellent work ethic. Michelle’s enthusiasm for learning invigorated others in the class. When team work was required, students wanted to be a part of Michelle’s group because of her creativity and thoroughness. On a recent writing assignment, Michelle wrote about how she became interested in the nursing field. The spark that ignited the flame began when she visited the doctor’s office as a child, and the nurses in the bright-colored uniforms made her feel comfortable. Combined with her love of babies, an obstetric nurse became the logical choice for her next career.
Michelle’s extra-curricular activities include drama club, marching band, and cheerleading. As a member of the drama club, she helped with make-up and hair during the school musical. Being talented in many instruments, Michelle focused on the French horn for her performances during football season. In cheerleading, she performed at basketball and hockey games, filling the stands with optimism and good will toward our team while displaying great respect for other teams.”
As a Scholar of the Month, Michelle will be awarded a scholarship from Bremer & Trollop Law Offices at the close of the 2016-2017 academic year. To be eligible for this recognition, the Bremer & Trollop Scholar of the Month must be a senior and be selected by his or her instructors based on the quality of the work that has been completed in the core curricular areas.
Michelle is the daughter of Stephanie Umland.
