Nekoosa Woman Injured In Semi Accident

Kathleen M. Esser, from Nekoosa, was injured when the car she was in collided with a semitrailer in the town of Port Edwards. On Friday, a car driven by Wayne H. Esser and a semitrailer driven by Gordon L. Varsho and owned by Triumph Transportation of Milwaukee collided on Highway 54 near Port Road, when Varsho was backing his semi across an oncoming lane of traffic into the parking lot of Trophy Bound Collision.

I write today, tired from an incredible four days of inaugural celebrations but energized by the words of our president in his inaugural address to the nation. The members of the Electoral College, by tradition, sit directly in front of the president during his speech. It was exhilarating.

The president’s speech was the best explanation of the basis of his political philosophy we have heard.

Wausau Attorney Christine Bremer Muggli Awarded David R. Obey Person of Principal Award

On January 5, 2012, Attorney Christine Bremer Muggli, of Bremer & Trollop Law Offices S.C., was presented with the David R. Obey Person of Principal Award. The award presentation was held at the Annual Meeting of the Marathon County Democratic Party. Former Congressman David R. Obey, 7th Congressional District, presented the award to Attorney Bremer Muggli.

Kronenwetter Accident Causes Injury

One person was taken to the hospital after a crash at the intersection of Highways X and XX in Kronenwetter. An officer with the Kronenwetter Police Department says a 64-year-old woman failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a car driven by a 17-year-old girl. The driver of the van was taken to the hospital. The extent of her injuries is unknown.
