Marshfield High School Scholar of the Month - Eben Lonsdale
Eben Lonsdale, a senior at Marshfield High School, was chosen as the Bremer & Trollop February 2020 Scholar of the Month. According to Krystal Salzmann, School Counselor, “I have known Eben for three years as his school counselor. Because of his hard work, ambition and academic diligence, Eben is poised to succeed at the university level in pursuit and in every conceivable aspect of life. Recently, Eben was accepted to and offered a scholarship to attend the prestigious Brigham Young University.
Eben has challenged himself academically by taking honor and Advanced Placement (AP) level courses each year. By the end of his senior year, he would have taken eleven AP courses along with many advanced courses. To date, he has taken and passed four AP exams with a score of 5 on all. This year, Eben was recognized as a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. Eben does not simply sit through class; he plays an active role in class by leading discussions and completing projects and labs in a truly collaborative way. Eben’s academic accomplishments make him one of the top students in the last 10 years at MHS.”
As Scholar of the Month, Eben will be awarded a scholarship from Bremer & Trollop Law Offices at the end of the 2019-2020 academic year. To be eligible for this recognition, the Bremer & Trollop Scholar of the Month must be a senior and be selected by his or her instructors based on the quality of the work that has been completed in the core curricular areas.
Eben is the son of Jacob and Lisa Lonsdale.
