Two Injured, Highway Closed in Three-Vehicle Crash

Two people sustained serious injuries as a result of a three-vehicle crash in Shawano County. The collision caused Wisconsin Highway 22 near Freeborn Road in the Town of Washington to be closed for several hours. The initial investigation into the accident showed that a passenger car struck a farm tractor and trailer, and then a motorcycle crashed into the two vehicles. The motorcycle operator was transported to Shawano Medical Center before being airlifted to St. Vincent’s Hospital. The farm tractor operator was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital by ambulance. The crash is still under investigation.
