Two people have now died as a result of a crash last Wednesday, August 6, in Wood County. According to officials at the Wood County Sheriff’s Department, a truck pulling a trailer hit a car at the intersection of County C and County F in the Town of Sigel, north of Wisconsin Rapids. The passenger of the car, Ruth Ruder, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The car’s driver, Linda Knapp, was hospitalized in critical condition after the collision. She has now died. The truck driver also suffered injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
