Wausau Collision Caused by Improper Turn Injures Three

A Friday evening crash in Wausau injured three people. A 16-year-old driver was traveling northbound in the right lane of First Avenue, a one-way street. She attempted to make a left turn onto Norton Street from the right lane, and crashed into a vehicle that was traveling in the left lane. The collision caused the vehicle in the left lane to lose control and spin around, hitting two trees before coming to rest in a yard on Norton Street. The 44-year-old driver and her two passengers were taken to Aspirus Wausau Hospital to receive medical attention. The 16-year-old driver was cited for an improper left-hand turn.

When a person is injured in an accident caused by a minor, he or she will have a claim against the minor driver in addition to the parents or “sponsors” of the minor’s driver’s license. The law states that parents and sponsors of a minor driver who causes injury are jointly at-fault for damages the minor caused. After an accident like the one described above, it is important to involve an experienced personal injury attorney right away to make sure claims are brought against the insurance companies for all of the proper parties. In addition to handling your claims against the insurance carriers, the lawyers at Bremer & Trollop Law Offices can investigate your case and work with all available insurance to get your medical bills paid.
